The Financial Accountant /Analyst is involved in all aspects of day-to-day and monthly accounting for NDM Hospitality's club and resort operations located at the Encore Resort and Margaritaville (by Rentyl) Orlando Resort. 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Timely setup of new accounts
  • Daily posting of banking activity
  • Monthly preparation of property financial statements and budget preparations
  • Monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Recording and tying rental reservation payments
  • Data entry of payables and receivables
  • Assist with annual audit preparation for tax returns
  • Serve as key finance person with property owners for financial statement inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned by the Controller

 

Education & Experience: 

 Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance

  • Ability to be a self-starter and innovate new processes is essential
  • Solid GAAP Accounting knowledge and/or work experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 1-3 years of Accounting or Finance experience (preferred)
  • 1-3 years Hospitality experience, preferably in a theme park, resort, hotel or F&B outlet (preferred)
  • Experience with RMS Hospitality and M3 Hospitality Accounting (preferred)
  • Experience with Jonas Club software (preferred)
  • Accounting or Finance Master's Degree/MBA/CPA (preferred)

 

Physical requirements:

  • Flexible hours sometimes required including working weekends, holidays, and hours exceeding 40+
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to walk long distance is required

  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information and data from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
