Job Summary

Responsible for taking money of cash, check, credit card, or room charge from guests in the Marketplace.


Prepare iced and hot espresso beverages for guests.


Will also assist in the setup of food & beverage equipment and setup of functions.


Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Perform cashiering tasks according to the set standards.
  • Serve espresso beverages to guests according to standard operating procedures.
  • Use of espresso grinder and espresso machine.
  • Ensures high standard of sanitation and hygiene in the work area.
  • Maintains high standard of personal appearance and personal hygiene at all times.
  • Constantly review standard beverage presentation, service and operating procedures.
  • Constantly man his/her area and make conscious efforts to ensure that the marketplace is always ready to serve incoming guests and that no guests are left unattended.
  • Ensures that all guest orders and related requests are carried out
  • Serve customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • In the absence of guests, maximize his/ her work shift by consciously finding activities that will help maintain the standards of the marketplace.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and help keep the hygiene and general look of the marketplace.
  • Ensure that the company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas.
  • Attend to timely customer complaints and report any to his immediate superior.
  • Adhere the resort's personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Take all the necessary steps in order to prevent theft, property damage ensure guest satisfaction and achieve operating standards.
  • Carry out other tasks and special projects as assigned by his/ her superiors.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Regularly participate with on-the-job trainings as conducted by his/ her superior or trainer.
  • To handle side duties as assigned by his/ her superiors on a daily basis.
  • Follows Responsible Alcohol Service policies.


Required knowledge/skills/job qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience as a cashier of a food and beverage establishment preferred.
  • The ability to anticipate customer needs and multitask.
  • Effectively interact with guests and all levels of management, associates and clientele, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Familiarity with the Aloha POS system preferred.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays 365 days a year.
  • Cashiers must demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. 


Education and formal training:

  • A Cashier must have a High School diploma, GED or one to three months of related experience.



  • Food service experience with general knowledge of operations preferred.
  • Experience with general knowledge of resort operation preferred.
